The LibrarIN project, coordinated by Athens Technology Center (ATC), has released its second policy brief: Boosting and Evaluating Collaborative Innovations in Libraries: Managerial Guidelines and Policy Implications. Authored by experts from the University of Alcalá and The Lisbon Council, and enriched with insights from leading European library professionals, this policy brief marks a major step in equipping libraries with the practical tools and strategic direction needed to thrive in the 21st century.

The deadline for the Call for Papers for the upcoming LibrarIN International Conference on Innovation and Value Co-Creation for a New Generation of Libraries, taking place at the historic University of Alcalá, on May 22-23, 2025, has been extended! DS2 is a Horizon Europe funded project that aims to secure that complex lifecycles of inter-sector data sharing, aggregation and provenance take place in a human centric and trusted way, with common structures, exportability and insight, whilst protecting the sovereign rights of data owners and complying with European data regulations.

The MediaPot project is funded by the Greek Ministry of Economy and Development under the Operational Programme “Competitiveness and Entrepreneurship”. The MediaPot project intends to bridge media and news reporting from media professionals and social networking users to produce useful and reliable information that professionals can then use to trigger their journalistic research and the compilation of new news stories or enrich their existing stories.

The project is funded by the European Media and Information Fund (EMIF) and has an 18-month duration. To facilitate the task of fact-checking, MuseAI will use AI to detect and match suspicious claims.

On June 19, 2024, from 14:20 to 19:00, the Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications (BIPT) in Brussels will host an exciting event titled “Meet the Future of AI – Generative AI and Democracy”. This gathering is co-organised by prominent sister projects that focus on AI & disinformation including AI4Media, Titan, veraAI, AI4Trust, AI4Debunk and AI-CODE. Following the overwhelming success of the 2023 edition, this year promises to bring even more insightful discussions and networking opportunities.

Taktak project -funded by the EC- brings together a consortium comprising 5 independent news media, 2 professional news industry organizations, 1 technology provider, and a specialized economist subcontractor, along with an advisory board of independent journalists.
