A universe of media assets and co-creation opportunities at your fingertips

The traditional media landscape is in the middle of a monumental shift: boundaries between professional media houses, prosumers and small creators are blurring, the speed of communication and publishing is increasing, audiences are seeking more user-driven and accessible multimedia experiences. MediaVerse (MV) is an answer to this shift: a decentralized network for intelligent, automated, and accessible digital asset management systems, where traditional stakeholders and other media owners can share, enrich, verify, and monetize multimedia content. With this, MV aspires to disrupt current practices of working in isolated silos, while enabling secure and traceable media exchange. MV brings together technology developers, social researchers, media publishers, artists, and other stakeholders, with the main goal to help all sorts of creators produce and share state-of-the-art media – while allowing them to keep control of their intellectual property rights.

MV is a collaboration between 11 partners from 7 countries: CERTH and ATC (Greece), ATOS and UAB (Spain), STXT and FIN (Switzerland), DW and VRA (Germany), LINKS (Italy), AS (Portugal) and TLX (Belgium).

In MV, ATC is mainly responsible for designing the conceptual architecture of the MediaVerse platform and for the integration of partners technologies and tools to the platform. ATC is also involved in the development of the blockchain infrastructure and of the social media analytics tools.

The project started in September 2020 and has a duration of 36 months.
