Trusted European Media Data Space

TEMS will establish and deploy a secure, trusted data space for Audiovisual and Media organizations to collaborate, share, and access data in compliance with data protection laws. This initiative aims to create new data-driven business opportunities in the media sector, addressing challenges posed by online platforms like those of the FAANG group. The TEMS Data Space (DS) will feature a technical infrastructure and governance mechanisms to facilitate cross-border access to key media datasets, promoting content co-generation, distribution, and transmedia narratives. Interoperability will be a core feature, with trust mechanisms ensuring security and privacy, aligning with European values. This infrastructure will support innovative content production, curation, and distribution across Europe, serving both public service and commercial media operators, including startups. TEMS’s Data Space will also integrate with other European data spaces, fostering collaboration across sectors like Manufacturing and Tourism, in line with the European Data Strategy.
