WeVerify is a project co-funded by the European Commission, which aims to develop intelligent tools for assessing the trustworthiness of digital content found online. A key output will be a collaborative, decentralised content verification, tracking, and debunking platform which aims to detect disinformation. By analyzing social media and web content through cross-modal content verification, social network analysis, micro-targeted debunking and a blockchain-based public database of known fakes, WeVerify will address the advanced content verification challenges and expose fabricated content. ATC will build new functionalities on Truly Media and TruthNest and connect innovative modules provided by research partners as CERTH (working on deep fake analysis) and the University of Sheffield (working on new NLP modules). User needs analysis and evaluation activities are lead by AFP and Deutsche Welle.
