EDMO BELUX 2.0 is the continuation of EDMO BELUX and operates under the EDMO umbrella of disinformation hubs. EDMO BELUX 2.0 brings together an unprecedented & extensive network of experienced fact-checkers, media, disinformation analysts, media literacy organisations and academics that cover the region of Belgium and Luxembourg. EDMO BELUX 2.0 aims to detect, analyse and expose emerging harmful disinformation campaigns. Through rapid alerts in the network, EDMO BELUX’s fact checks & investigative reporting will reach first responders to disinformation (media, civil society, government) for minimizing the impact of disinformation campaigns. Through media literacy campaigns, it will raise awareness among & empower citizens & media. Through multidisciplinary research, it will monitor the impact of disinformation & platform responses on democratic processes.
Consortium members are the following: AFP, AJP, CSEM, DPA, EUDL, Lie Detectors, Media Animation, RTBF, RTL Luxembourg, UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and ATC.
ATC provides technical support, setting up and maintaining the Truly Media platform and the project’s website.
The project started in May 2024 and will last for 30 months.
