GADMO operates under DIGITAL-2021-TRUST-01 – EDMO. Focusing on Germany and Austria, project GADMO (German-Austrian Digital Media Observatory) will take the fight against disinformation to a new level by combining the expertise of major journalistic fact-checking organisations with targeted scientific research and analysis. It will also draw on, and simultaneously feed into, the wider community of organisations and individuals concerned with the mitigation of disinformation. This community includes civil society, media outlets, academia, and responsible public-sector authorities. ATC will set-up Truly Media and will also develop and operate the project website, which will publish fact-checks, News, media-literacy and research articles.
Consortium members are the following: TU Dortmund University, dpa, APA, AFP, Correctiv, AIT, and ATC.
ATC will set-up and operate a secure online platform supporting the detection and analysis of disinformation campaigns.
The project started in November 2022 and will last for 30 months.
