The scope of the project:
- Analysis and detection of harmful disinformation campaigns at national/regional level and their impact on society and democracy
- Expose disinformation campaigns, including their impact on society and democracy
- Media literacy activities at national/regional level
The consortium consists of the following partners:
- Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD)

- Foundation “Alternatives and Analyses“ (Alternativata)
- Association of European Journalists – Bulgaria
- Athens Technology Center – ATC
ATC’s role in the consortium is to provide the appropriate tools to enable the fact-checking efforts of its partners, providing access to the Truly Media platform for the analysis and verification of digital content. The hub’s collaborative environment, based on Truly Media, is interoperable with EDMO.
ATC is also responsible for the design and development of the website (in two languages, Bulgarian and English). The FENCE repository will be accessible through the website, serving as a central data storage of outcomes created by the hub’s members.
The project started in November 2021 and will last for 15 months.
