POLARIS is a Horizon Europe Innovation Action funded under HORIZON-CL2-2025-01-HERITAGE-03. POLARIS empowers libraries across Europe to actively participate in the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) by providing cloud-ready tools, training, and support that bridge digital capacity gaps between leading and under-resourced institutions.
Through large-scale pilots, cascade-funded projects, and a sustainable Library Innovation Support Hub, POLARIS strengthens libraries’ role in Europe’s digital transformation, fostering inclusive access, innovation, and the long-term preservation of cultural heritage.
ATC leads project coordination and management, oversees the setup for ECCCH integration, and leads full-scale pilot testing and operation. Through these activities, ATC supports the effective implementation, integration, and validation of POLARIS tools and services within the ECCCH ecosystem.
The project started in October 2026 and will last for 30 months.
