Taktak aims to establish a fresh revenue channel for European public-interest news media and independent journalists by introducing an innovative system that encourages reader donations on a per-article basis.
Key innovations of Taktak include a collaborative approach among news media, a novel financial cooperation model between media and independent journalists, gamification features integrated into micro-payment donations, and a technology platform facilitating reader donations and revenue sharing between content producers and publishing outlets.
As the sole technology partner in the project, ATC’s primary responsibility is to accomplish the architectural design, draft technical specifications, and implement the Taktak platform.
The project started in January 2024 and will last for 24 months.
