The European Platform for Intelligent Cities”- is more than just an IT platform – it is a one stop shop were medium sized Cities in Europe (50.000 – 500.000 inhabitants) can find real, affordable solutions (products and services) to materialize the “Smart Cities” concept in an highly achievable and cost-effective manner. The EPIC project solution combines cloud computing with ‘Future of the Internet’ technologies to provide cities with new tools and possibilities for the creation and sharing of efficient, effective and economic ‘smarter’ city services.
