EPIC

The European Platform for Intelligent Cities”- is more than just an IT platform - it is a one stop shop were medium sized Cities in Europe (50.000 – 500.000 inhabitants) can find real, affordable solutions (products and services) to materialize the “Smart Cities” concept in an highly achievable and cost-effective manner.

MoDisSENSE

MoDisSENSE enriches social networking services by exploiting the continuous data flow from the daily use of mobile phones. This flow includes data from user visited locations, contacts, calls and calendar combined with data acquired from the user’s social network (list of friends, profile and preferences).

PuzzledbyPolicy

PbP aims to help ensure that discussions about immigration and migration are as balanced, informed and inclusive as possible by providing a politically neutral, easily accessible and transparent platform for discourse and exchange among all citizens – regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds, language and IT skills and level of education.

FASHION-ABLE

The FASHION-ABLE project aims at providing the European fashion SMEs, namely those focused on innovation and customization, with technologies enabling flexible, eco-efficient production of personalised products.

Viopolis

Introduction

Viopolis takes a radical approach to the long term preservation of digital user content. The system will allow Viopolis enriched User Content to be distributed and redistributed through a network of commercial and non-profit files (Preservation Services) while ensuring a lasting relationship between the holder and the spiritual content owner.

OPTET

In the past trust was one of the drivers that lead to a self-reinforcing cycle of (largely beneficial) socio-economic activity facilitating distribution, sharing and collaboration.  However, trust in the Internet and in Internet-based applications is eroding.

ARTIST

Most legacy applications are unsuitable for running on the cloud due to a lack of scalability, security and compliance features. However, companies often cannot easily replace them as they are crucial to their performance, continuity and offering. Migrating to a cloud infrastructure can bring cost, performance and strategic advantages.

NOMAD

The NOMAD projects aims to introduce into the policy-making process an array of new techniques and opportunities emerging through the massive use of the social web. Nowadays, the citizens are directly and heavily involved in the policy making process, through the tools and capabilities offered by the Web 2.0 tools and channels.

CROSSOVER

In an increasingly interdependent, unstable and complex world, as the financial crisis has shown, policy-makers lack the tools to anticipate emerging problems and the impact of possible solutions. At the same time, citizens are becoming more vocal in monitoring and influencing policy decisions.

ANIKETOS

Aniketos is about establishing and maintaining trustworthiness and secure behaviour in a constantly changing service environment.
