ATC showcases new R&D projects in the eHealth Forum

18 October 2017

Athens Technology Center (ATC) participates in the eHealth Forum 2017, an international event dedicated to promoting digital health, and will showcase the latest developments in the m-Resist, City4Age, BD2Decide and EVOTION, research projects, which are all funded by the European Commission within the wider scope of the digital transformation of health. ATC, a founding member of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) and a true advocate of focused research, is actively involved in these 4 projects through its Innovation Lab, offering extensive experience in mobile application development technologies, big data and IoT solutions. The event will take place during 19-24 October 2017 in Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens.

At the implementation level, the common technologies in the 4 projects are related to big data analytics and visualization. m-Resist focuses on the needs of patients with treatment-resistant schizophrenia, studying new therapeutic protocols and disease management methods based on mobile technologies. Similarly, City4Age is exploring the effective use of "intelligent" and IoT technologies to ensure healthy ageing and independent living for older people. In addition, BD2Decide focuses on developing new prognostic models for the appropriate treatment of head and neck cancer, while EVOTION aims to support decision making and shaping of holistic public health policies for hearing impaired people.
